Default Progesterone level question

I am a thin cyster- just irregular periods, a little bit of acne and irregular ovulation, and some hirutism. I tried clomid 100 mg, that didn’t make me ovulate. I went on to see a fertility specialist- who had ne on injectibles for the last 2 months and said we should try iui. So,

Cycle # 1 – Menopur (half a vial each day) plus clomid 100 mg. ahd 2 mature follicles, had hcg and double IUI – BFN. NEVER HAD PROGESTERONE LEVELS CHECKED ON CD 21
Cycle #2 – Follistium, only 50/day no climd- had 2 mature follicles, got hcg, double iui, and then I practically had to force him to check my progesterone levels on CD and it was only .86!!!!!

I am so devastated. I am now on cd 10 and I am pretty sure there is no chance of BFP since progesterone was so so low and I probably did not ovulate. So my question is is it possible I did not ovulate after seeing 2 mature follicles? What happened to them? What can such a low progesterone on CD 21 indicate?

Many thanks in advance!

I would start charting to see when my temp shifts and ask for an E2 prior to your hcg shot to see if your follicles are mature. Your E2 levels should be 150 to 200 per mature follicle.

I definitely agree that you should be monitoring your ovulation using your temps, mucus, or ovulation kits. I will help you know what’s going on. Also, I know that I don't ovulate so I have to have progesterone supplement to help me start my period. This is because when the egg is released, progesterone is also released. The progesterone then helps the uterine lining to thicken so that a baby can attach to it if you conceive. If not, the lining is shed and that is your period. If you didn't ovulate, then that definitely could be why you didn't start your period and why your progesterone is low. Also, don't think this happened to you but just for your info, when you do get pregnant, your body may not produce enough progesterone. It needs to be monitored because if your progesterone is to low it can cause a miscarriage during the first trimester. Don't be a afraid of this or stress over it, the doctor can just supplement you with progesterone. So I would monitor your cycle and see if you do ovulate and have them check your progesterone level on 7 days after ovulation. If it is low, your doctor will hopefully start to monitor it closely and treat it properly...goodluck!
