Default Progesterone Pills

My doctor perscribed progesterone pills (small, marble like pills) that will bring on my period. She gave me 5 days worth. I'm supposed to take 2 every night for 5 days. She told me to take them around 9 p.m. because they'll make me sleepy.

WELL........ sleepy is right but also VERY dizzy! My husband had to walk me to the bedroom the past two nights!!!! The symptoms come on very quick (within half an hour).

Here's the problem......

I took the first two Thursday night. Friday morning I woke up nauseous (normal) but I also had chest pains for a while. Last night I took another two. This morning I woke up nauseous with more chest pains! Has anyone out there had the same problems? I'm worried and if I don't get any reassurance soon I'll be heading to the walk in clinic.

Thanks!
Linda

Default

Hello,
I had the seem symptoms except for the chest pains. I take the Prometrium 200mg once a day for 12 days every two months. Maybe your doctor prescribed to much. I'm suppose to start my pills again on 4/23. Still have not had a cycle in 16 months even with all the medications. Please call your doctor. the dosage sounds excessive. Best wishes and take care.

Niki
