Default progesterone replacement

Along with the PCOS I am estrogen dominant. I had almost no progesterone so I was placed on bioidentical progesterone. It has been amazing what it has done for my mood and sleep. My husband and friends say that it is shocking what a difference its made in my attitude and coping ability with everyday situations. Aside from that progesterone is crucial in concieving and having a full term pregnancy. Has anyone else been put on this or something similar? I ask because I have never has regular periods, usually 2 or more months apart and now I have had one every 14 days or so for the last month and a half... is this part of my body regulating itself? I also take 1500 mil extended release of metformin and 100 mil of spirnelactone a day as well. Thanks for your help!!!

I also have the same problem. I do not have a period at all and have only had one in my entire life on my own. I just started Met and will gradually work up to 2000mg, but I also start Prometrium next week. My doctor wanted me to start on the 1st of the month to make it easier to remember. Glad to know I am not the only one on both medications. I will definitely let you know how it goes!

Hi! What tests did they do to diagnose you with estrogen dominance? I think I have that too. How did your mood, sleep etc improve?
