My GYN said Prometrium could cause more cysts to form in my ovary.

Quick history---I have endo and just had my right ovary removed. I hit very bad hormonal flux 3 weeks post surgery with heavy bleeding and severe menopausal symptoms. I was put on prometrium by the on call doc. Now the surgeon/gyn said get off it asap coz it might cause the remaining ovary to create cysts. He believes this remaining ovary is poly cystic although another doc disputes his claim. He said that if we shut down ovulation then the remaining ovary will have a tendency to make more disfunctional cysts.

any thoughts or experiences????

I just started on this and hadn't heard this info. before - definately worth looking into!
