Have any of you ladies used prometrium vaginaly and it messed up your hpt?
I have been taking it for 8 days and I am in my 2ww getting ready to test, so I am hoping that it won't mess things up me.

Progesterone supplementation should not affect the HPT, which tests for the level of HCG in your system, NOT progesterone.
Progesterone supplementation CAN make your period late if you are NOT pregnant, however. If you ARE pregnant, your body produces progesterone in order to prevent the uterine lining from shedding, and thus supporting the implanting embryo. Progesterone supplementation if you are NOT pregnant fools the body into thinking that it IS pregnant, and you will not have a period until you have discontinued the progesterone supplementation.

I was on progesterone shots for 11 weeks (part of my IVF protocol).
I'm not a huge fan of the shots (they have to be done using a rather large needle, in the hip / butt muscles), but I do prefer them over prometrium (or crinone - blech) taken vaginally. At least the shots don't leave you with icky discharge. . .
Any of the above are more effective than taking progesterone orally, where it can effect the liver, and generally does not get as much into your system.
How much longer until you can POAS? 5 days? Good luck!
