This might be a dumb quest. But, is provera the same thing as progestrone? Im taking progestrone right now to induce a period. Do some people take provera on a regular basis?

From what I understand Provera is a synthetic form of Progesterone. Prometrium is a more natural version. Each doc normally has a preference. I had to take Provera every 40 or so days to induce AF because I would not have AF with out it!

Now what is beta? Im on progestrone right now to induce a period but will be trying ttc hopefully in august with clomid. Do you have a lot of side effects from the clomid? Just curious for what Im up against. THanks so much for the feedback.

A beta HcG test is a blood test to determine if you have any pregnancy hormone in your body to see if you are pregnant.

With Clomid I had night sweats and mood swings, but I was on the highest does 250 mg. Most people respond to lower levels like 50 or 100 mg.
