Default Provera

Anyone out there ever taken their prescribed Provera and it hasn't worked? I was fairly regular since starting met (after three months) but now I've gone 72 days w/nothing. I'm afraid to take a pg test cause I'm 99% sure I'm not and I don't want to cry (again). Any help anyone can give will be greatly appreciated. Should I get my Provera filled and try again? I have pg tests here but I haven't found the courage to use one. I have no symptoms of pg...just no AF...

I took Provera so many times with no success. Call your doctor ask him to consider Prometrium. It is a natural form of progestrone. I am taking it now because the Provera did not work and it's been 12 mos. since my last period.

I become emotional every month too. Keep your chin up. I am here for you.

Hugs
Niki

Unhappy

Thanks for the support Nikki - I've taken Provera several times and it pretty much always works. I took the pg test this morning (finally) and it was exactly as I suspected...BFN. I'm very frustrated at the moment...

Keep your chin up. It will happen to you. I know how you feel. I'm not trying to conceive, but I am so frustrated that AF will not come. I am getting worried about cancer since the lining is not shedding. I'm going to schedule an appt with a new RE on Monday. He is highly respected in Atlanta. I am tired of all these quacks!!!!! I need some peace of mind.

I just can't afford to have AF problems now (a pregnancy either) we have no insurance. I needed to go for my annual in Oct. I still haven't gone - we just don't have the money right now. I haven't been back to my RE since March of last year. This makes longing for a baby even worse. Hopefully with the new year my husband will be working soon. Thanks again Niki for your support. I'm glad to hear you're going to a new doctor soon.

Ilyrehc091969,

I feel the same way. Money was very tight last year for me. I went from doctor to doctor trying so many medicines with no success. It was very costly. Whenever she prescribed something, I told her to give me a 3 month supply so I could get it through mail order. It was cheaper that way. I can get a 3 month supply for the same price as a one month supply. Ridicious !!!

It is a new year and only good things will come our way. Right????

By the way, what part of Ohio do you reside? I have family in Akron Canton, Massillon, Wooster, Toledo and Perrysburg. Most of them are from Massillon. My mother graduated from there. Home of the Massillon Tigers. I went up there for a visit in October. The fall colors were pretty.

Hugs,
Niki

Thanks for the support and the happy thoughts.

We live in Gibsonburg not too far from Toledo. It's about 25 miles southeast of Toledo.

I love the change of seasons. Fall is my favorite.
