Can a gynocologist prescribe Provera?? I am unable to see my RE right now, so I thought I would ask my gyno...any suggestions??

My GYN is the one that prescribed the provera for me.

My gyn rx'd provera for me also. Yours is able to as long as he's willing to treat you.

My Gyno was the one who prescribed Provera for me as well. So there you have it three ladies from three areas of the States whose Gyn prescribed them with Provera. I hope this in a way answered your question.

Yes a gynecologist can prescribe Provera.

Just a note, why not think about Prometrium? It's an FDA approved HERBAL progesterone as opposed to the synthetically made Provera. Personally, I refused Provera because of the proposed side effects after long term use. For me the Prometrium, when I was taking it worked just as well.

Question Is it just me...

I got Provera from my RE to stop a bleed (along with Premarin)- not to ttc, so maybe this isn't relative...
But am I the only cyster who has had none of the "dreaded side effects" everyone always talks about? It never bothered me- not in the least...

Just curious...
