Provera/Clomid Questions

Hello ladies

So I am currently about to take my 2nd round of Clomid. I am on day 4 of 10mg Provera twice a day for 10 days. I believe that is the dosage my gyno gave me back in November, after which AF didn't show for 14 days after the last pill!! I was scared she wasn't going to show...well when she did, I bled dark brown for 5 days, then red blood came and stayed for 5 days, but was extremely light; barely needed a pad! My gyno said that the 1st day of red should be considered CD1. However, after my first day of red last time, the 2nd day it disappeared all together. Then AF came back red on the third day. I took Clomid days 5-9. No ovulation.
So this time, my gyno gave me 50mg Clomid on day 5-9 again, but I am extremely confused on when to start considering what day is actually CD1. And since 5-9 didnt work last time, should I try 1-5 or 3-7?
Some people say the 1st day of any kind of bleed whether it be dark or light, should be considered CD1.
And does anyone have any insight as to why AF didnt show up for 14 days after my last pill of Provera? Is the dosage too high? Sorry for all of the questions, but I really want to try and do things perfect this time around...don't know how much more of the meds I can take!

Well I have to take Provera every cycle because I cant start it on my own. But I have never heard of someone taking Provera twice a day. I take 10mg Provera once a day for 10 days. I usually get AF 3 days after I take all of them. Sometimes it would take like 6-10 days. Depending on how often you use Provera. But I would say it is because you are taking 2 a day. But I'm not a DR. Sorry I couldnt help you more.

Hi. i got prescribed provera for 10 days twice a day too. i was only able to take it for 6 days though cause i left the pills at a relatives house and by the time i got them i couldnt take it anymore. AF showed 7 days later though.
In Feb. i was on prometrium for 10 days and NEVER go AF! the dr said my linning wasnt thick enough to shed.

about the CD's My Dr said to count the first day of bleeding as CD1, not spotting. so if its darker i think i would still count it. its still blood.

Hope everything works out for you and you get your BFP. i know its a pain taking all these pills.

Okay TMI alert!!!

Well, what would really be considereed "spotting"? When I got the dark brown stuff, when I wiped there was alot of it, as if it were a flow. However, it wasnt really a flow because even though there was a lot on the tissue, it never went into my panties. When the red blood started, it was about the same; I never needed a pad that badly. I never really spotted, it started and stayed the same consistency from start to finish, just a different color. So should I stilll consider the first CD the first day I see brown blood or wait for the red?

i would def wait for the red blood because the brown would be old blood. good luck with your clomid!!
