As far as I can comment, a BMI of 24 is a little high but not unreasonable. I think the target is around 18-20. I have been on provera for years as an alternative to birth control and I have never really had issues with it. Hope we can find you some answers!!!

Sometimes is can take up to 2 weeks after Provera to get an AF.
However, if you are having issues getting AF call your doc back. They'll probably have you try Provera again. You can try this, but then tell them they need to figure out WHY you're not responding to the Provera. It could be you're low on estrogen and not building a lining, or it could be any other number of reasons. Regardless, it needs further investigating if it doesn't make a difference.
You BMI is in a perfectly fine range. You sound like you're in good shape. Besides, being larger may cause some issues with Ov but I've never heard of it causing issues issues with getting AF even after Provera. I technically obese and I get AF just fine with Provera.

Thanks, everyone. I'm guessing it is low estrogen, but I haven't been tested. My Dr. prescribed one month of bcp. I feel like I'm back to where I was a year ago now!
i am not sure but i think my course of provera is failing, also. i spotted and bled lightly while taking the provera (dont understand that at all) for like 3 days. but now i have stopped and nothing is happening.
and i understand what you are feeling as far as being back where you were...i feel like things should be happening...i waited 3 months for an RE appointment and now i cant even start clomid.
oh and my bmi is 24 also. i think that it is pretty normal. i mean yeah..i could lose 10 lbs and do some toning up but im not sure it willl make that much of a difference.
i exercise regularly already.
Thanks darkblue. Are you on Met? The first time I took Provera nothing happened. After starting Met I got AF twice with Provera. The second time I did Provera with Clomid, but I didn't ovulate. However, I'm still on Met and it didn't work this time, so I have no explanation for that.
I'll let you know if the bcp work--they did for 10 years, so they should (but I'm not sure of anything anymore!) Good luck to you!
Just wanted to follow up in case this helps anyone else who Provera did not work for. AF came after 6 days of bcp (started about a week after 10-day course of Provera failed). Had a few days of spotting, then 3 days of heavy-med. AF, two days very light. Just finished 5 days of 100mg Clomid (2nd cycle, 50mg cycle failed to O).
