Default Provera?? Help

Hey all!! Well I finished my 10 days of provera yesterday (Wednesday). When I woke up this morning, I noticed a little spotting and I have been spotting all day if we can call it spotting... I know everybody is different and some people get their AF while in middle of taking provera and some take a week or two after getting AF. Hubby and i are anxious to start TTC. Doctor told us best time to dry is days 9-12 or 10-12 of my cycle. So do I count today as day 1 of my cycle since I am spotting?? Or does spotting not count....

If anybody can give some insite... that would be great... I will probably end up calling my doctor... I call that poor man at least once a week if not more so he is used to it!! BUt I didnt know if anybody could share their experiences with me or give some advice.. THanks

I am having the same exact problem. I was only on 5 day Provera 2x a day but like you I started very lightly spotting, if we can even call it that and I remember my dr saying "if you see any blood at all, count it as day 1 and then start clomid on day 3" but I'm here thinking, its barely even there is this what he wants me to really count, or does he want me to start the refill he gave me in case AF didn't come after the 5 days and 2-3 waiting days after last pill. I'm new to all this. Please keep me posted on what you decide to do. Thanks.

Thanks hun. Yeah we've been trying for almost 2 years so that's why he gave me clomid 2 months ago and all of a sudden AF decided not to show and that's why I was taking Provera to bring her on. Good luck to you. Can't wait to hear any news you ask. I'm calling dr today too anyway because I have to make my CD 14 follicle check appointment so I may just ask the nurse just to be sure.

Well I did not call the doctor because I woke up to more than just spotting, and the cramping is unbelievable... and I had to work this morning and over slept... So I am going to count today as day 1 of cycle, but I am going to call dr on Monday and find out for sure LOL

i am having a similar issue.

i am supposed to take provera for 10 days. today is day 6. i started spotting this afternoon and cramping all day. it feels like my period is starting and the flow seems to be getting heavier- like a light red flow (as opposed to spotting). i called the dr and left a voicemail this afternoon, but nobody called me back.

now, i do not know whether to count today as day 1. or just continue the provera?

and it has to be friday so i am clueless what to do this weekend.

any ideas? i guess i might just continue the provera? no idea.

I would keep taking the med and just keep note of the day the spotting started. If it seems to stay about that pace... i'd count it as day one, but if it gets heavier, i'd use the first heavy day as day 1. I been taking it for the last couple years and I seem to always be light. But every women is different. But finish the med out either way
