 Provera..... Hemoraging? What now?
Yes I have PCOS. But so do ALL of my female cousins. One of them has had so many problems. But she doesnt have any insurance so she cant go to a decent doc.
Several years ago she was put on Provera to induce AF. But she ended up hemoraging(sp) and rushed to the ER. She was admitted for several days and given 2 blood transfusions and a DNC.
She still doesnt have regular periods. So she goes to a wellness clinic for women and the doc puts her on provera yet again. She told the doc what had happened b4 and doc said that her previous problems werent due to the provera. So she got AF and last night ended up hemoraging again. Went to ER and was given Premarin (?) and discharged cause she didnt have insurance. The ER doc put her on OrthoNovum and said to expect a really bad AF towards the end of the pack......
WTF! She called me for advice and I have no idea what to tell her. Do you ladies have any ideas? TIA!
Oh yeah.... The ER doc also told her that theres no such thing as PCOS! The nerve of that man.
