Exclamation Provera made it worse! Is it just me?!?

I went to my dr. on February 18 because I O'd in January and I still hadn't had my period and I was testing negative for pregnancy. Prior to this time I was on BC to regulate my periods and AF came at the end of December. (On my wedding day! Go figure!) Anyhow, my dr. ordered blood work to check my hormone levels and put me on 10 days of Provera. I was told if I didn't start within 2 weeks after stopping Provera that I needed to come back in because I may be pregnant already. Why she didn't test before she put me on Provera is beyond me, but whatever.

March 16 I ended up back in her office because my period had not started. I didn't even spot. Any other time I have been on Provera I usually start before I'm done with the pills, but it's been a while so I figured it's just working it's course. The dr. ordered a blood test and gave me another prescription for Provera that she told me to take after she confirmed a negative test. She also referred me to an endocrinologist who I will see on April 21 because she said my testosterone levels were slightly elevated.

To make a long story shorter, blood test came back negative, still no AF, though 2 weeks ago I had very very light spotting for 1 day. So light that if I wasn't looking I wouldn't have noticed it. Ever since I took the Provera I have noticed increased facial fuzz, little tiny acne, and a little fur on my stomach that wasn't there before.

I am doing everything that I was told to do. I have started eating better and sleeping more and all the things I was told I need to do and now I'm just furry and without a period.

Please tell me I'm not the only one this has happened to!! I'm so frustrated! It's like I'm working backwards. Any suggestions?

I can't say that I've had your exact same experience...but I did take Provera and end up with no AF. My doc prescribed it for 5 days...today is 10 days later and still no AF. I'm already furry so I can't say that it's made that any worse...but I'm just annoyed that I am in no man's land with no BFP and no AF

Any changes on your end?

I was initially told it could take up to 14 days after the end of pill 10. Perhaps you need a longer round of it.
I still have not had AF, slight spotting one day but that's it. I was set up to go to the endo last Tuesday to get it all figured out, but unfortunately had to cancel due to my husband being sick. I do know that I have either O'd or am about to...heavy beautiful CM...wouldn't you just know though that my husband was just admitted to the hospital for the next month for leukemia! Oh well, not the right time for now!
Good luck!

Oh my gosh, I'm sorry about your husband's illness. I do hope that everything works out with that!!! What a scary time it must be for you.
