Provera & Met= 2 Af's?!?!

Hey! I recently started to take Metformin once a day 500mg, just up-ed it to twice a day totaling 1000mgs.

I took Provera 10mg 10 days as directed by my gyn...

I got my period one week later (Nov. 17)... It wasn't too heavy, kinda brown, but still red (sorry if tmi) and it last til about Nov. 24th/Nov 25th (super lite). When I was on bcps I had short periods, but I was still happy to just have my AF.

A couple nites ago I started to spot, it was during sex so I thought I hurt my cervix or it was too "rough" or something but the FEW times that has happened it lasted just that day, that moment... but it's been 3 days and it's like another lite period... I even need to wear a thin pad or panti-liner,...

has anyone else gotten 2 periods in one month by Provera???

I have taken it b4 and this has never happened to me. But it was a looooooong time ago I took it. I am super irregular... but its bc I never get my period, not bc I get it too often..

Yes this happened to me this month. I took provera early Nov for 5 days & got af Nov 16-22. Then I had some spotting thinking I was maybe O'ing but the spotting got heavier by the weekend & af was here sunday. So I got maybe a week free of af & she's back for another visit. It sucks but I'm kinda glad cause I get to try femara sooner.

...wait, I don't mean to sound dumb... but could this possibly mean I am ovulating??? I tried Soy Isoflavones this month (160mg on days 3-7). I tried it once, 80 mgs during 5-9 and well don't think I ovulated!! and since I am not charting (not even sure how to chart exactly)...hmm... I hope I am ovulating!!

There's no telling. My bleeding got heavier & I knew without a doubt that it was af. Some women may have spotting for maybe a day or 2 around ovulation but it'll usually stop. I hope that you did O. That'd be awesome news!! Can't wait to hear how this week goes.
