Provera Period- Possible TMI

Okay, not sure if this the right board to post this on, but I have a question. I wanted to run it by some some experienced cysters before I called my doc.

I'm 4 days post Provera but I started (light) bleeding about day 7 into it.
Starting the day before yesterday, my bleeding really picked up. Yesterday at work, I had went through 6 SUPER tampons in 12 hours- I was bleeding through about every 1.5 to 2 hours. I know that this is what we take Provera for, but I'm just wondering if that's a little excessive?
I feel terrible, but I'm just chalking that up to PMS stuff.

So, my question is, do you think that much blood loss merits me calling my doctor or should I just wait it out- It had been 6 months since my last Provera induced period, so I'm really thinking maybe it's just par for the course.

Any advice?

I have also experienced this. I was wearing a super tampon and a pad and had to change it about every hour. I called the doctor and they said it was fine. I started with a thick lining, and it was just shedding. I know it can be kind of scary, but it will stop. And if it doesn't after a few days, I then would call the doctor. It is so uncomfortable, especially at work. I work in a small office with about 12 people, and they must wonder why I keep going to the bathroom. Good Luck!

Thanks! It finally stopped. I've had a little spotting after, but for the most part I'm over it. Thank GOODNESS! I'm like you. I work at a hospital, but there are only about 6 of us working on the floor at a time and I know I was MIA every time they turned around!

The first cycle I took provera after no AF for about a year it was awful. I bled for 10 days and it was very heavy for at least 7 days. I think it is just flushing everything out to start over new.
