Default Provera & pregnancy

I've heard that it is not safe to take Provera if I'm pregnant. My question is how do I know what CD to test for pregnancy if I don't get normal periods without Provera? How do I know when I'm definitely not pregnant and should start my next Provera/Clomid cycle? I ovulated CD 17. Thanks!

If you actually ovulated, you should get your period on your own and not need to take provera. So you would have to wait about 14 days after you O'd, then AF should arrive (about CD31 or 32). If it doesn't arrive within a few days of that, then I would take a HPT and then if it is negative, then I would start the provera.

My doctor also advises not BDing for a week or 10 days before taking the provera, so you'll know if something snuck in there in that time...
