Default Provera/Prometrium?

Hello Ladies,

I went for my yearly check-up last week and after doing a lot of thinking, I decided I wanted to get back on the Provera/Clomid; this is what I did when we were ttc the first time and it worked..

Well, this time he has put me on Prometrium instead of Provera to start my cycles and I am having really bad dizzyness with it.. I know that I didn't have any problems with the Provera.. Can anyone tell me if these s/e will go away or should I call the DR? He gave me a sample box and there was nothing in there for me to read. I don't know if I can take it another 8 days....

Thanks for you input,
Traci

Prometrium also made me VERY dizzy!! I was at work & holding the walls when I had to get up & walk. What dose are you taking? To alleviate the s/e (which btw, did not go away until I stopped taking it), I took 1 200mg pill after dinner and then the other 200mg pill right before bed (so like 5pm & then 11pm)...this is what the nurse told me to do. It worked (of course now I'm having problems getting AF but that's another story). Prometrium is a natural form of progesterone...Provera is synthetic...Prometrium imho is better...I have horrid s/e with Provera--mood swing city!!

I'm taking 200mg of Prometrium and have another 5 days to go. I have found that if I take it right at bedtime, I can sleep through the s/e. It does seem to hit me pretty quick though. I thought that taking it at dinner would be better since I had food in my system, but that didn't work.. I was in bed at 6:30 pm... not good.

I don't know what I'd do if he had be on 2 pills...
