Ive been on provera for 3 months months 1 and 2 I had a perfect cycle both started 3 days after finishing the provera and everything... during last cycle when dh and i were doing the deed we had a couple technical malfunctions (busted condoms) and af never showed after this turn with the provera... im very very worried now because im supposed to start it again tuesday and i know that its something that if your pregnant can hurt the baby and has birth defects... ive done two home pregnancy tests (one the day AF was due and one today 8 days later) and both were negative.. i really really dont wanna start the provera unless i know for sure .. but im afraid ill look silly calling the doctors office asking for a blood test... she told me originally before my surgery i shouldnt skip any periods... then at my Post op appointment she said that if my estrogen was low that the provera may not bring my cycle on... sooo Im really worried because months 1 and 2 it worked perfect this time im not sure... my gut instinct is telling me to ask for a blood test.. should i call my gyn and ask her for one (shes very busy takes atleast a couple months to get in with her) or do you think i could call my family doctor and see if maybe he would run one or should i just take the results from the home tests and start the provera on tuesday ?? i know it sounds confusing Im just very baffled
