 Provera Question
I have a question about the provera.. I know what it does and everything.. I've used it a few times to regulate my cycles. but now that we are trying.. i'm kinda worried about something. Well.. this cycle when I went for my CD 21 progesterone test, it came back negative.. they gave me provera and my first round of clomid for the next cycle. They told me to wait till day 35, do an hpt before starting the provera. Well.. I took the hpt, it was negative.. but I forgot to start the pill cause we got real busy. However, the next day I had spotting, thought AF was starting.. but it was real light.. lasted 2 days off and on.. and then quit.. and AF never came. I had no symptoms whatsoever.. no AF or pregnancy symptoms. Well the first thing we thought was that.. maybe I ovulated late.. and maybe it could be implantaion.. so I held off on the provera.. and waited and tested.. then 2 more days.. tested again.. and after about 2 weeks from when the spotting occured.. and negative tests I decided to start the provera yesterday. Well.. I really think it's a long shot.. but I'm curious after reading a lot of stuff... if I were pregnant and started taking it, what would happen? I've read that the chances of birth defects are slim to none.. and back in the day they used provera as a way to see if women were pregnant or not. Some have said that the period just won't show if I'm pregnant, and others say it's very dangerous. I dont' know what to think about it.. what do all of you think who have taken it? Anyone had a situation like this or no someone who has? Who took it, then found out they were pregnant and had a healthy baby?
