Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me out. My doc prescribed me provera 10 mg for ten days. I started taking it last saturday, so today is only day 5 of taking the pill, but I am getting a lot of cramps, just like the ones I get right before AF comes. Is it possible to get AF before you take all ten pills, and if I by chance I get it before I'm done with the pills, do I just immediately stop taking them then? Sorry for all the questions, and they are kind of stupid lol, but usually when I take provera I take all 10 and then there is a 3 day wait and usually then I get AF....so I'm just curious.

Hi I had the same questions-my RE says to always finish the pills. I guess provera works like the body-builds up progesterone-when you stop piulls, progesterone drops and af comes. You dont want to stop it and maybe af comes, then re-start-it could screw it all up.

Good luck-when I use prvera I get one heck of a period LOL

Thanks so much. I will just make sure to go ahead and finish it regardless, but today is day 6 of taking the provera and still no AF, so I will probably get to finish it anyways. lol
