In the past, my Ob/Gyn has put me on Provera for five days to bring on AF. The last two times I've gotten Provera, from the RE, they've told me to take for 10 days. Does anyone know what the difference is? If I were to only take it for 5 days, or, like, split the difference and take it for 7 or 8, would it be less effective?

I don't know. I get the same thing Provera for 10 days every 3-4 months. But I do know that if I wait 4 months before going to get the Rx I get 10 pills. I think my doc does that to insure the hormone fluctuation will happen to bring on AF.

Thanks for the response. I'm honestly just being impatient, wanting to get AF here so I can start a new cycle. This one's been never ending!!
