I Haven't had AF since Dec '04. My OB prescribed Provera this month. I started the 10 days of 10mg on May 21 and took the last pill on the 30th. AF is still nowhere to be found! What is going on? I have called her office and no response yet. She did give me a 3 month supply of the provera and a RX for Clomid to use next month if I don't Ovulate on my own after AF starts.
Do any of you have any suggestions for me? I need help. I need to have AF to hopefully Ovulate, or at least to start Clomid so I can Ovulate so I can get Pregnant!

you just finished a few days ago, so give it a few more days. My AF showed up just two days after the last provera, but I know it can take up to 14 days sometimes.

Like Amanda said, it can take up to 14 days after your last pill. When I take it, I get it about 6-7 days later. You need to give the progesterone level time to go down first, before you'll get AF.

Ditto.. I usually takes mine 3 days after the last pill to start spotting. It can take up to 14 days so just be patient.. Oh what a fun thing to be patient for.. lol!

The first time I took Provera... it took 6 days for AF to show... and it was a WHOPPER of a visit too

P4 came back neg. on May 31st blood draw... but + hpt on June 14th! ~ 06/14 - beta 27 ~ 06/16 - beta 76 almost TRIPLE ~ 100mg Clomid (cd 2-9) of 9 cycles, only O'ed 3x. ~ PCOS, Hypothyroid (112mcg synthroid), mild IR ~ Metformin @ 1500mg per day ~ Mommy to 3yr old daughter: conceived on 100mg Clomid, 3rd cycle on the med. No thyroid or IR issues back then.

I am just hoping not too bad of an AF after 5 months, b/c on Saturday my DH is taking me to Six Flags Marine World, for my Birthday, to see the DOLHPINS at the new Ocean Discovery....I get to touch, feed, and train the dolphins. So it will be just my luck it will show on Saturday or Sunday(Birthday). Oh well, though I guess. I need it to show so I can get ot ovulating hopefully on my own (w/o clomid).

I just got back from the DR about 20 minutes ago and he wrote me a Rx for Provera...I haven't had AF since June of LAST YEAR! I'm not looking forward to this at all. Also, I've seen quite a few cysters say it causes severe depression....have any of you experienced this? If so, for how long, and how severe? I have to start it for 10 days tomorrow and I've never taken it before so I'm a little aprehensive but I guess I'd feel better if I knew what to "look forward" to....any advise would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanx in advance!

I just finished my 10 days on Monday. I didn't get depressed, but I did notice My BBT went up. Today is day 3 past finishing the Provera, and still no AF. I will post when it comes.

FYI: My AF arrived on Friday (June 3rd) Today is day 3. So we will see how long it lasts.

well, For me my first time taking provera was fine I had not side effects and thi was after going six months with no visit from good 'ol AF. The secouund tome I took it I got very depressed Had moody, I even devloped a fear of death and now have anxiety attacks. My doctor told me it would go away, but every time I don't get AF it comes back.So for me provera was good the first time and scary the secound.Also when I did get AF it came the last day of my pills and lasted ten days.
