My Doc has given me a script for provera for 14 days is this normal? How many days do you take it for?? Also is it alright to drink alcohol while taking provera ? Thanks for you help

I was prescribed it for 10 days. I've heard of people taking 2 pills a day for 5 days as well. I don't believe I've heard 14 days before.

I honestly don't know about alcohol, but as I recall there was no sticker on the bottle not to drink (like there is on my metformin), so I'm assuming it was OK if I were just on provera.

Are you taking the Provera to stop a bleed or start one?

To stop a bleed it is usually prescribed for a longer time frame, with me 21 days. I now take it for 10 days to start a withdrawl bleed.
