I was recently diagnosed with pcos and i am scheduled to start provera next tuesday i was told that i wouldnt have any side effects only my usual pms right before my cycle
there are different doses for Provera. One of the ways to be treated is to take it 21 days out of the month, like a BCP.
I usually take it for 5 days every 6 months, but I have had it 2 months in a row recently. I think I'll need another month's supply because it's not working as it should.
I get very hormonal (or crazy as MY hubby calls it too! LOL) while I take it, and then I get the PMS symptoms before I get the period too. It's basically 3 weeks of torture but I kind of like getting a period, it makes me feel like I've joined a club! I just don't get them naturally.

My doctor has me taking provera for 10 days and this is the first I've ever been on it. The first day I had horrible stomach cramps! I haven't really felt tired from it yet, but I've definitely been a little emotional.
I had 3 Provera cycles (5 days each) and luckily they weren't that bad for me. I only noticed that my face felt a lot warmer (similar sensation as when you're having a minor fever).
Ezrebeth - I think it varies for women. I got my AF 2 days after my last pill. When I was on BC, my period also always came 2 days after the last pill, I don't know if this was just a coincidence.

i just started taking it today I have a two week perscription to STOP my bleeding... i hope that the side effects arent too bad!!! I Got Crazy as I guess ALL husbands say lol on My BC 4x a day I hope its no worse than that...
I'm going to start taking this today to STOP my periods as well. I really hope I don't get too emotional, I haven't been on the camila I've been taking...which is the same hormone from what I understand.
I just started my first round of Provera. I take it for 10 days, I'm on day 6 now. So far minor fever and minor hot flashes. Will start clomid on cycle day 5.

Round 1: 06/27/09: Provera 10 days, Clomid, 50mg, CD 5-9, OPK says "O" on 07/25, blood test shows "O" on 7/28, BFN!
