So I have been on provera many times and with this new doc I take it 10 days and AF comes a week after my last pill. The pills are 10mg and I was wondering would it be a bad thing if I took it 5 days but 2 pills a day?

It's rather ironic that I found your question. My doctor just prescribed Provera to me and on the prescription information her directions said Take 1 Tablet Twice Daily x 5 Days - however under the prescription information it says take this medicine at the same time every day, not more than 24 hours apart which to me implies I should only be taking 1 tablet once a day.
It's too late to call her tonight but I plan to call the office tomorrow.
I take 2 provera pills at the same time for 5 days. For example, each morning I will take both pills and am done for the day. After the 5th day, I wait 5 days and af shows up like clock work.

ok, now I am confused... I just got my prescription today and my doctor told me to take one a day for 10 days that's the same thing it says on the bottle... is that wrong?
I have taken Provera for years to bring on AF. I had one OB/GYN to prescribe 1 10mg pill x 5 days and my current OB/GYN prescribes 1 10 mg pill x 10 days. I've never asked questions. I just figured it was what that doctor had results from. I really didn't know that you could take 2 pills a day. I will have to ask my doctor about that.
I am on my second round of Provera. I currently take it 1 pill for 10 days. After that AF shows up on the 5th day. I have never heard of taking two pills but I will be sure to ask my dr. I am interested in finding out what the difference is in 2 a day or 1 a day.
Well I followed the rules and took it once a day for 10 days. I finished my last pill on friday. I haven't had any spotting or AF yet. It normally comes 7 days after my last pill. So that will most likely be Friday. But the werid thing I had two days of taking the pill and I had bright pink spotting and then stopped. Has anyone experienced that?

I just got Prescribed Provera and i was told to take 1 pill for 14 days and then stop...its 10MG and i thought that was long compared to what you guys are taking...
Any thoughts?

Yes I did. AF finally appeared day 13 after my last pill but in between I had a decent amount of pink spotting.

Browsing the forums here I did notice other people that have been prescribed a dosage over 14days, however, it ultimately depends on your doctor and his/her goal in prescribing Provera for you. I wouldn't worry!
