OKay here is my situation..I've taken provera before.....3 days after last pill- AF....this time it is 10 days after the last pill- no AF. I was spotting very very slightly but it stopped...also I know there is more lining in there because the RE measured it before starting the provera and it was a 12 (which is pretty thick)...I am so confused.....anyone else have this happen where provera worked one month and then later it didn't work?
The first time I took it AF came about 4 days later, the second time it was 7 days latter. Then I had an unassisted AF after 35days. I am waiting to see what this month will bring. CD28 I have 4-5more days before I start again.
I took provera this cycle and had not had a period since Jan! OB says I will have a HEAVY period since I have so much too shed. Well my period started 10 days after taking it and only lasted 3.5 days and was not heavy at all...very average and by the 4th day it was pretty much done.
I have taken provera twice. The first time my period came only a day after my last pill. At the time I hadn't had a period for quite a while, so it was very heavy and lasted 9 days. The second time my period also came a day after my last pill, only lasted 6 days, and was normal. By normal I mean it wasn't super heavy, just what I would consider normal flow. I agree with pinklady84...maybe you do need a change in the dosage.
I am experiencing the same exact thing right now swa. I finished taking provera 12 -13 days ago and have not started AF. I am very frusterated. I have taken provera perviously and all 3 times strated AF within a few days. My Dr said it taked up to 2 weeks after last pill sometimes, but I am now getting very close to that. The only thing that is different now is that I am on metformin, which I was not on when I took provera before. Are you on metformin?
Provera worked last time...but not this time?
