Hi, Cysters. Sorry this question gets personal, but I want to know if any of you have, well, a jungle down there?
I certainly do. I've tried shaving, but I get an awful raser rash.
Umm..really private....I'd like to find a better way for hair removal in that area..for one reason because of oral sex issues. Dh would love for me to go hairless.
Has anyone had a bikini wax....the whole enchilada, or what I've heard called the "brazilian" where there's just a little patch or strip left.
If so, does it hurt horribly? Where does one go to get such a thing done? Isn't it embarassing when you have it done?
Thanks for your feedback.

I will be candid! I used to have a jungle and strangely when I noticed hair loss on my hair, my pubic hair started thinning too! Now it's growing like a weed again, and I don't mind it at all if it means more hair on my head too
I have had bikini waxes, but just to clean up the back and sides, no way would I go to a strip, I imagine the growing back stage would be torture. I just keep the rest of the hair trimmed short to allow the best "access"
It really wasn't as embarrassing as I thought, usually I wear a paper undergarment that the waxer just moves to the side when she needs to so you don't feel completely nekkid.

this is my first post on this site - boy am i glad to read that other women have as much hair as i do!
i've never gotten a brazillian or anything like that - i also imagine it would be torture! - but if you want to go for it, i say do it!
i've been to a salon for a bikini wax which just did the sides and back of my thighs. it was NOWHERE near as embarrassing as i had thought - which is amazing considering the forest i have going on!
(for the record i have quite a bikini line which extends to thick inner thigh hair 3/4 of the way down my legs - uuggghhh! also hair on the back of my thighs, not too much on the butt though)
from what i understand, butt hair - on the cheeks and in the crack - is a lot more common in women than you may think, even in healthy women who have NO excess hair anywhere else on their body.
i have been investigating different waxes that various salons do in my city, and heaps of them advertise that they do these kinds of things. so don't be embarrassed - the beautician will definitely have seen it all before.
let us know how it goes.

biggest gripe - excess hair - i hate it!!!
am looking forward to...a miracle cure to permanently get rid of unwanted hair :-)
I am with you in the forest! I have to shave my thighs, especially inner and back, and I have to shave my belly all the way up to my belly button. Of course I have a nice 'pooch' that starts at my belly button, so you can imagine how attractive that is!! I have tried the total shave before, I liked it but when it starts growing back it itches like crazy!! And it is difficult to do (can't see too well over the aforementioned pooch). I would jump at the chance to visit a pro a couple times a week, but I don't have the money for that!
I am pretty used to all my hair, so I don't let it bother me too much. I have been battling it since puberty and would love to find a permanent solution (ahhh... laser....) but until I am rich I will just stick with my razor!

I appreciate all of your responses. It helps to know that lots of other women have the same issues.
Mitzi, I know what you mean about the roll making it hard to shave down there. I can hardly see down there without using a mirror. Maybe someday I'll be able to get rid of the roll!
Thanks, again. If I decide to try anything new with the waxing and stuff, I'll post about it.
Take care.

I always laugh at the term "bikini line..."
Line? What line?
I have something more along the lines of a national forest... the worst is how the thick hair spills down my inner thighs... and I mean, it's not like I really have any comparioson, but it CAN'T be normal to have as much hair in my butt crack as I do. It's not like you can go out and ask other women, hey, do you have a hairy butt crack? I always hated those posters where they show a line of women's butt in string bikinis... anyone know what I mean? Even if I shaved my butt crack, I have longish blonde hair all over my butt, and I am not about to shave my butt. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know, at least it's blonde, but it's long and cathes the light all the same. I hate bathing suits because I refuse to remove the hair from my butt ...
ANYWAY I have found that using the nair sugar wax has really resulted in the inner thigh and under belly button hair lessening. Every now and then I will clench my teeth and forcefully pull out chunks of hair from my butt crack, just to feel a little more feminine... but I don't try to wax the more intimate areas. I wonce tried, with regular, not sugar wax... and it was a painful, waxy mess. At least with the sugar wax, if you change your mind, it washes out... don't go near that area with real wax! Ouch ouch ouch...
What I'd really like to know is can you have laser done on these "intimate" areas? I mean, if I said I wan'ted to be completely un-ape-like down there... would they do it? I've been to so many doctors from PCOS, I am beyond embarrassment at people seeing my private parts. Funny coming from a girl who used to get dressed in her sleeping bag at Girl Scout camp... but then again, maybe we all did!
