wish i hadn't already started, but i've been reading the purpose driven life on my own and just wanted to say, go for it!!
i'm on day 20 and absolutely loving. finding that i'm being challenged in many areas of my walk with the Lord and within relationships. i don't like how rick warren uses 'the message' and other modern Bible translations as i am a bit of a KJV gal, but the book is sooooooooooo good.
Hi, I'm going to read day 2 tonight. I wanted to buddy up with some friends face to face, but so far no luck.
Happy reading
Peaceful Journeys,
Linda S.

Hey girls lets get this thread going! DH and I tried to do it together but with him being away so much it is difficult. I started a month ago and am only on Day 3 - I would love some buddies! I will begin again tomorrow with Day 4!

You could count me in Lisa, we have been doing it in a class on Sunday night. We pretty much do the reading on our own and Sunday is just a time for discussion. I would even be interested in email buddies for it or a thread for discussion.
Any input?
I have enjoyed it so far, but during the holidays I got behind, I think that I am going to start again to refresh myself. Let me know where you are. Our interim pastor was preaching from it on Sunday nights before he left. It is great!

My husband got it for me for Christmas. We are reading it together, we're on day 6. It is GREAT! I highly recommend it. I agree, I think about the chapters throughout my day.
I'm on day 39 and this book has so challenged me and encouraged me that I'm gonna start right again on it as soon as I'm finished. This time round, I'd love to keep a journal of what the Lord is teaching me through the book, and I'd also love to discuss things with you all. Anyone up for that? It would be great to explore the applications of various concepts, how we've put the challenges to use in our own lives, etc.
I'm starting again on Saturday the 3rd of January. I'll keep you posted!
This book is amazing so far and I think for someone who may be new to faith and God this book would be an excellent gift

I'm on day seven (after having read it thru and started all over again--I loved it so much), and have been really enjoying the thoughts. I'm learning more the second time round! Isn't it wonderful to be challenged in our walk with God?
I'll post a discussion question or two (from the back of the book) that we could discuss together, to think harder and cause ourselves to remember more of what we read.
