I just used this for the second time and I LOVE it.
It's for acne/blackheads. My acne has been under control since I started taking BCP, so I can't personally comment on its effectiveness there - although I would expect it to be really good. I wanted a new face mask because I have an awful, awful time with blackheads. A few friends recommended this and said that it gets "readers choice" awards in beauty mags all the time. After just one use, my blackheads were almost gone! And this is coming from someone who does the whole gamut of skincare every day. I figured I was just destined for my face to be blackhead central. My boyfriend even called my nose an "inverted strawberry" once (you know... strawberries are dark with light seeds all over. My nose is white with blackheads all over!). I actually haven't felt the need to wear any foundation/concealor (except for my undereye circles) since I first used it last week. And usually, I wear foundation every day!
Anyway, if it un-gunked me so effectively, I wanted to pass it along. It says it helps with acne, too, so maybe it can help you! I'd tried Queen Helene products before, but was never impressed. But the Mint Julep masque is like in a whole other league.
I checked my grocery store, Walmart, and Target, but I only found it at Walgreens. It's at drugstore.com, too.

I haven't used this in quite some time but when I used to use it years ago I almost had flawless skin! For some reason my skin developed an allergy to something in it....my face burned and turned bright red when I used it the last time, but I loved it before that!
Interesting! I want to try this now! How often do you use it? I read somewhere online that some people use it every day, but usually masks should only be used a couple times a week.

I LOVE this masque! I've used it for YEARS! Literally, since I was a teenager. I only use it once a week, though. I've heard masques are only supposed to be used once a week, at the most twice a week. I had a hard time finding it last time I looked at WalMart though, all I could find was trial sizes. Maybe they're discontinuing it? I'll check at Walgreen's when I need it again, since someone said they found it there.

I think you're only supposed to use them once a week, but if you have super oily skin you can do it twice or something.
I used it twice in a week because last Thursday I was thoroughly impressed and couldn't wait to do it again - so I did it again on Sunday when I wrote this post. But now that those two close treatments worked wonders and erased all the blackheads I've developed over the past oh, decade...I plan on just using it once a week to keep it up
seriously. I keep admiring my skin in the mirror. I just can't even believe it.

I found some at the CVS pharmacy near my apt. for $2.99!!
I'm trying it as I type; it smells good and it has a "fresh" tingling sensation. (BTW, I have super oily skin that can be sensitive, but I also require a lot of exfoliation too)
The only think I didn't like about it was it seemed really thick for a mask; it didn't really apply evenly.
I'll post some results tomorrow!

OK, I tried it out the other night, and tried it as an overnight spot treatment last night.
As a mask, I don't really feel it makes that big of a difference. It does strip the skin of surface oil, which isn't really good for the skin, and my skin replaces the surface oil in about 10 minutes anyway.
However, as an overnight spot treatment, it works pretty good. I put it on a couple nasty spots that weren't improving with my regular treatment, and they decreased in size and didn't look as angry this morning.

I too love this stuff! While I use the mask 2-3 times a month for an overall "skin sprucer", I also rely on Biore nose strips. I love seeing all the gunk on the strip when I pull it off. Oh, the mask also is great for breakouts that I get on my chest (ick!).

I have a terrible time with blackheads on my nose. Man they bug the crap out of me. It doesn't matter what I use, they're always there. I might have to go try to find that stuff today...
Ok I found it at the CVS Pharmacy up the street from me. It cost like 3 bucks and had 33% more free on the label. Honestly it does look "cheap" but from the reviews I've read here and on drugstore.com apparently it rocks. Maybe you don't have to pay a fortune for a great product. I will use it tonight and let you know how it goes.
Not bad, not bad at all, considering I didn't even pay 5 bucks for it! I haven't used a mask in years, but I know it would have worked better if I steamed my face first or took a long warm shower. Instead I held a hot washcloth on my nose for a couple of minutes, then applied the mask to my nose and waited about 45 minutes (I have some serious blackheads). It did a decent job, but like I said, my skin needed to soften up a bit more so it didn't get out all the blackheads. I'll try it again this weekend and give report #2.
