First of all a BIG BIG Congrats! That's wonderful news!

If i recall Pearl continued taking hyponidd for a while longer - from my understanding hyponidd is balancing blood sugar levels. However i would ask your doctor to be on the safe side.

Lizmel,

Oh wow!! I'm going to go against the grain & say ask your ACU!! I see that you have done acu. Are you seeing one now, or do you have a good one that you saw in the past?? They will know more about herbs than an ob/gyn. You need to find out if you need to stop the vitex & the hyponidd, and if so, if you should wean off. And get an rx for progesterone asap!!

Wishing you the best!

I'm going to call my ACP today. But, she didn't know that I was taking the Hyponidd. She said that she didn't think it would cause adverse side effects with the chinese herbs. But, she said she wouldn't know what worked better...the herbs or the Hyponidd. I personally think it was a combo.

Anyway, the spotting has decreased. I'm going to call my OB today and see if I can get in this morning for a blood test. I'll ask my ACP for some herbs to "keep" a pg. She did tell me she has some things that will help if need be when the time comes....well, I think the time is here!

Ok, gotta go. On my way out the door to work. Thanks for the congrats. Please pray that everything is ok.

Thanks ladies!!!!

Congratulations! omg, i just had to finally register and post a way-to-go!

I have been lurking on the alternative remedies thread for months now and have picked up so many good tips. My hyponidd has not yet arrived but I have been getting great results so far related to insulin resistance (taking N-acetyl cystein).

Let us know if you are going to stop taking it? How many cycles did you take it for?

Unhappy

Solange,

I took the hyponidd for one cycle. And, I didn't even take the full dose.

Ladies, I don't know what is going on though. I went to my Ob's office this morning...they did blood work. I won't hear back from them until tomorrow.

In the meantime, I'm obsessed and wanted to take another test...just so I could see another pos. I guess. Well, I got a WalGreens digital hpt. And, I took it here at work...that one says "not pregnant". What the heck!?

I still have the acne (exact same place I broke out when I was pg. w/ dd#2, sore bb's, & vivid dreams). I just wonder with all this spotting if my hcg levels are going down and it's a chem. pg.

UGHGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lizmel:

Any updates?? I agree with Solange - some tests aren't as sensitive as others. And most of the digitals won't show positive unless hcg is 50 or over.

I'm sorry to have to say but it was a chemical pg. Had I not taken a test I would have never known that we conceived. It was a very early pg. The beta had gone down to where a hpt would even pick it up. So, the beta went down very fast. When I originally got the pos. I wondered if it would even last. I've had a m/c before (7yrs. ago), and the consistency of what I was bleeding was very much the same.

I had told my ob that I was sick Monday night into Tues. with a very high temp...almost 104. At the time I didn't even know that I was pg. My ob nurse said that they always tell their pg. women to go to the hospital if they have a temp that goes above 100. So, maybe that caused it?

So, now I have another call into my Acupunturist. She'll probably want to do acupuncture and some testing to see if she wants to keep me on the same herbs or change them.

So, back to square one!!!

I'm ok I guess. I'm upset but not to the point where it upsets my day. Just very very bummed.

Thanks again for all the replies and pm's. Now we know there is something to this Hyponidd stuff!

Lizmel, I'm so sorry . You'll drive yourself crazy trying to figure out the "why". It could have been the fever, or it could have just been a bad egg/sperm which happens at all ages.

I think it's a good idea to sit down with your acu & come up with a game plan for next time. It also helped me after my m/c to write my own game plan - what to ask dr's for immediately, and what supplements to continue taking & what to stop because last time I just basically zoned out I was so afraid to "take action". And I stopped all supplements, which wasn't necessarily a good idea for me. It made me feel like I was making progress somehow & moving towards another pg. Don't ask me however where hyponidd falls on the to do or not do list.

So back to square one, yes. But the hyponidd will continue doing it's job & I'm sure you'll find success again along the way.

Hugs
