Default question???

i heard that it's not good to go on birth control pills for too long coz they interferre with your fertility later on.
does anyone know if this is true, that bcp are harmful?
in that case i'll stop immediately.

It helped me in the long run I believe. When I went on them 20 years ago I had cystic ovaries and my hormones were crazy out of whack. I then went on them for PCOS treatment and relief form acne, hair, and absolutely no AF. Years later I was able to get pregnant quite easily using Clomid. Bear in mind this was many years ago before the IR connection. I was and am not IR to this day. I am thin and have been cyst free as long as I've taken bc pills. I do believe they shut down your ovaries and prevent scarring from cysts created when not cycling properly. Many women take them with Gluc. to help their cycle and prevent cysts.

Whether to take a medication is a completely personal decision. Any medication has s/e and pros and cons, even glucophage the new help for many but not all women with PCOS. All mediaction use must be considered thoroughly. Hope this helps. Best of luck!

Default thanks

hi

thanks for that! its just a friend of mine said she heard that its not good to go on them all the time, that one should take a break from it for a while.
i'm taking met aswell. its weird coz i was taking a pill called minerva (the equivalent to diane) but changed to yasmin. and since taking yasmin my AF is never on time. it comes either a week before or a week after. and usually i get AF exactly when i should
do you know of reasons why this is happening? i was scared i might be pregnant but i took a test and it was negative.

Not sure about that one. I know mine comes on the 5-6 day off the active pills. Maybe the inreplay between met and Yasmin effects your cycle. Maybe someone on them both can help you out. I know Candace takes them both and loves them. I hope someone can help!
