Default Question

I have recently been diagnosed with PCOS but also that it was on the lower scale (whatever that means). I was diagnosed in New Zealand and am so glad as I now know why I have had all of the symptoms. I am finishing my travels soon and was wondering what exactly I need to do in regard to doctors etc.... And is it really difficult for women with PCOS to become pregnent... Sorry for all the questions but Im quite confused... Thanks in advance...

Okay...

first, I have no idea WHAT they mean by a lower scale for PCOS eithe ryou have it you you dont, though the symptoms may not be all that "bad" such as you might have one chin hair whereas some of us have a face full of it or you may have ovarian cysts but only have like two or three whereas some of us are full them

second, as far as docs go either an endo or a gyne should work equally well, I personally see an endo and have my regular PCP and will be doing teh once a year gyne thing. Its really what you decide with your PCP.

third, yes, it is more difficult for most PCOSers to get preggy, BUT that does not mean you will have any trouble. Some of the women on here had no problems with pregnancy even before they discovered that they had PCOS. As with anything it depends on your body and how out of wack your horomones are and all that junk.

Hope that helped a bit!

I think that I know what the doctor meant by "on a lower scale" My doctor told me that with PCOS you have it mild, moderate or severe. It is based on your symptoms, AF, how many cysts are on your ovaries, etc...

He told me that I had a severe case! But I am getting taken care of!

If you have any questions please feel free to PM me!
