Question Question

I am 24 and want to have a baby. I was diagnosed when i was in high school...but did not have a great doctor. About a year ago my primary physician put me on Glucophage hoping it would help me lose weight (i weigh 200 pounds and am 5'5") I didn't take it it regularly like i was suppossed to because i was in the middle of planning a wedding and going to school. I have taken it every day now for the past month....1000 mg in the morning. I was told that the glucophage might make me ovulate. Can anyone tell me how long it took before this happend for you? Does it work? or will i need to seek other options?! Thanks for any help you can give me.

For me, the met helped ovulation when I got my diet straightened out. When I started eating to control my insulin with the meds and was really consistant with exercise I started o'ing regularly.

Holly, I'm new too..just joined a few days ago! I have been taking Met. for about a month and initially lost a few pounds...I'm hoping that will continue as i excercize and get my diet under control because it seems like most everyone on here says that it has worked really well for them.

I started to get regular af after about three months of met, diet, and exercise. Then I started to O on my own. It can take longer for your body to get with the program or it might happen the first month. good luck
