Hello Everyone,
This is my first post on any message board. How exciting!
I was diagnosed with PCOS in January. My doctor wants to put me on Met but due to elevated liver enzyme results in my blood work I need to see a GI doc first before she can prescribe the med. Has anyone ever heard of liver issues with PCOS? I haven't seen anyone mention them in any posts I've read. I am working on getting an appt with the GI specialist she suggested but haven't seen him yet. I have elevated cholesterol levels as well (221 total, 159 LDL and 62 HDL) and my glucose levels show insulin resistance. Thanks for any insight you can provide. Reading your posts has given me a lot of info and has really cheered me up and given me some hope.
welcome to sc you will sooooo love it here! I have high cholesterol too, i take Lipitor for mine. See you around the boards - or feel free to pm me if you want
