Heya! I just joined this site. Nice to a place where so many women with this can gather! I was diagnosed in July of last year. I had went off bcp for a short amount of time (had surgery) and everything seemed to go out of whack. U/S confirmed pcos. Went back on bcp and since then af has been regular. Until this month. The past two weeks have been hell. Bad headaches, heartburn, no af, lower back pain, and I am all of a sudden an insomniac! Anyone have any suggestions? I have taken 2 pg tests and both came out negative. af was due on the 6th so this is a bit nerve wrecking as ive always been + or - 2 days with af while on bcp.

welcome to sc  I dont know the answer, sorry. I cant take bcp as it makes my bp/weight go wayyyy up. But im sure someone will be able to help

im complete opposite. bcp helps keep my weight under control. off of it and i balloon. | |

I was the same exact way when I had to take BCP... they worked for me for a while, and then one day- it stopped working and I haven't had a period since. I would just say that my body is not used to being off of the consistency of the BCP and it's just not ready to have AF yet.

Still no af. This is driving me batty lol. O well. I have a doctors appointment on Friday so we will see then.

Well I had my doctors appointment. All the hpt's I had taken were negative but actually they should have showed ++++!! I am due on Tuesday, November 13, 2007. I am 6ft tall and 180 pounds. The doctor said that my height/weight combo along with the fact that I drink water ALOT is most likely why I had negative hpt's. I am 7 1/2 weeks. Whew this is still quite a shocker  My wedding is suppossed to be in October. This is going to be quite a year

(I am soooo feeling you girl). One herbal that works for pain is willow bark tea, which is where aspirin is originally derived from, so use with caution. Also, make sure to drink lots of H2O, and try other stuff like lavendar, raspberry leaf just to name a couple as far as R & R herbals. If that doesn't work, Aleeve does.

I have been diagnosed for 2 months but struggling with symptoms since day 1 of puberty. I was just told that I am lactose intolerant and sensitive to wheat gluten so my diet has done a complete 180. Not to mention that I am still taking all the drugs so this is a message of support for you.
