Default question

Hi everyone,

I was pregnant w/ twins, they believe I lost the 1st one at 4 or 5 wks. Then the 2nd one at 10 wks. That was 2 weeks ago and I still haven't bleed. The other day I had a little burst of red and then nothing, and then last night, the same thing, now nothing, NO cramps or anything, I am getting worried that this isn't going to happen and I am going to get sick. Can anyone give me some advice.

Thanks,
Chrystal

Hi Hun, I am SO sorry that you have to be here **HUGS**

Honestly, I would call my OB and see what he/she wants to do... it might be that your body doesn't know how to "let go", and might need a jump start...

Or, its possible you will need a D&C because it just won't let go.

I am SO sorry!!!

Chrystal -

First of all, I'm so very sorry for your losses. It's horrible, and I know it's anguishing waiting for a m/c to happen.

Call your doc. Don't worry about seeming annoying - it's your body and you have the right to ask and to be reassured and to be monitored. I'm in sort of the same boat and finally called my RE's office and they're drawing betas again to see if they're falling. Once they're at 0, they'll do a hysteroscopy to make sure that everything's gone. If it's not, I don't know if they do a D&C or if the saline washes the rest of it away.

I started cramping on a Monday, spotting on a Tuesday and then went in for my u/s where they didn't see a h/b. My baby measured appx two weeks behind where we originally figured we ought to be, but the week before the baby was about 5 days behind where we originally thought we were. I didn't heavy bleeding until Friday, and even then it wasn't clotty like I expected.

So.. even though your baby measures 2 weeks behind where you are, it may have continued to grow, albeit at a slower pace. It takes your body some to recognize that the pregnancy isn't viable. I read something (and this may not be exactly accurate because it's been awhile, but you get the gist) about it continuing to support the pregnancy until the corpus leuteum stops and the placenta is supposed to take over producing the HCG. When that doesn't happen because there's no viable baby, then your body figures it out and rejects it and you m/c.

Either way, call your doc and insist on being monitored at least once a week. The anticipation is horrible and you've got enough stress right now.

Please let us know how we can support you. You're in my prayers.

I'm so sorry for your losses! I would also stay in close contact with the doctor, even using the emergency numbers if you aren't feeling well. Some of the m/c cysters have used medical intervention to miscarry or have needed d&c's to take care of things once and for all. I hope you can get past this physical part of the healing soon!

I'm so sorry for your losses. I know exactly how you feel. I lost one of my twins between 6 and 8 weeks, and my second twin died somewhere around 11 or 12 weeks.

It sounds to me like your body is beginning the process. It usually starts with spotting and eventually becomes heavier. I opted for a D&C because I hadn't even started spotting yet or anything. If it becomes too much for you to wait, I would definitely call the OB to at least discuss that option.

I'm so sorry.
