Question Question

First of all, thanks to those of you that reassured me in my post about starting the Met last night. I did, in fact, take it with dinner. My question is, if you're going to have side effects, when do they usually start?

I think it really is an individual thing. I felt fine the first day or two then the side effects started in for me. I take 1000mg/day (500mg 2x a day) I am also on Meridia so my side effects were a little different than most peoples. I basically felt nauseous A LOT and still do sometimes and i was tired a little at first but that was really it for the metformin s/e for me. Hopefully you will have very little s/e. If they do hit you hard- I would cut the dose in 1/2 and ease yourself up to it. Good Luck!!

Mely's right..it's really individual. Some ladies have trouble right off the bat, others don't have trouble at all, and some have trouble only when they hit a certain dosage. Dose up slowly if your Dr will ok that regime and it helps a lot.

Hope you're one of the lucky ones!
