Hey Ladies,

I was wondering about skin tags. If they appear on my neck, they don't "grow" into anything. For some odd reason though, I have had 2 appear in my arm pits, one under each arm. How do I get rid of them??? It doesn't hurt when I pinch or pull gently, there's no nerves in there. Does anybody have a sure-fire solution? Does anybody else get these little suckers anyplace else besides their neck? Is this normal?

Yep, afraid it's normal.

I have read of some women tying thread around them and leaving it there till they die off. Or some have them frozen off.

I have them on my neck, underarms and 3 large ones on my back which my doc will freeze off. I will get him to do the ones on my neck too if possible and the ones under my arms .... the shaver usually deals with them.

If you do a search on the site, I am sure you will find loads of threads about skin tags.

I have a very large one in my armpit, i've had it since i was born though. Then i get some around my neck that come and go. But, i went to the dr. to have the one under my arm frozen off, and she said that it's a good thing i didn't shave it off, because even though it didn't hurt when i pulled on it or anything, it was connected to a big blood vessel. She said it probably would have required stitches if i would have shaved it off. Just wanted to mention this so it didn't happen to someone else! But she tried to freeze it off once and it didn't work all the way, just part of it fell off (kinda gross when i type it out, sorry) so i have to go back to get it frozen again. Anyway, i just use the razor for the little ones, works good sometimes they bleed but not much.

Its kinda funny that this post popped up because i just looked in the mirror the other afternoon to pluck those evil black chin and neck hairs, and I noticed I have a bunch of skin tags all over my neck! Its like those evil little bastards popped up over nite!!!!!!! I am so repulsed by myself now and what I look like.
