I haven't been on board in a long time. I'm still taking the Yasmin birth control pills. They have lightened my periods, but I kept getting a discharge for almost 3 weeks last month. I got it on the first too. So since the first of the month is coming up, just wondering if anyone else has gone through this.
I'm back on the Effexor for the anxiety and just started Tricor as my Triglycerides climbed from 465 to 580. Could that be related to the PCOS? My weight has dropped from 243 to 217 but I'm at a stand still now.
High cholesterol seems to be very much related to PCOS. It seems the idea that we are IR tend to make the cholesterol higher. Maybe metformin might help you...lower the IR...lower the cholesterol.
Is the discharge blood? You might want to speak to your doctor about this. You shouldn't have to bleed all the time. Can you explain your situation a bit better? I am confused..lol. (Then again I always am..heh)

I also found out `that cholesteral and tri's can jump as we gop into menapause. That could mean your body is reacting to the levels of your hormones. So if you are unbalanced, you will have high levels.
You may need to change your BCP. I different type may help regulate you.

I'm definitely going to bring up the pcos connection when I see my regular doc next month. He wants to do another blood test. I mean, I'm watching my carbs and stuff, drinking water and trying to exercise every day AND I've lost 26 pounds. My mom had PCOS but was never diagnosed as it wasn't even known back then. She also ended up with heart disease. I don't want my genetics to screw me up. I'm only 29 and don't want my sons to see what I did growing up.
I'm going to keep an eye on this. AF should be showing up soon and I hope it goes away within a week.
