Question about Aldactone

I've been taking Aldactone/Spiro and it really worked in clearing up my acne. However, It's really difficult for me to take Aldactone because the pills stink! They have this awful odor and when I go to swallow one they smell so bad I almost gag.

It seems to have this peppermint smell. I hate it. Anyone else noticed this?

Are there alternatives to Aldactone?

Oh my gosh, Yes!!! Aldactone is the worst tasting stuff ever, and I suffered through many years on it and still take it occasionally. Those suckers start to dissolve the moment the water contacts the tablet. I have gagged on many a pill myself.

Good news, The non generic version tastes somewhat better. It still smells (not as bad) but the pills are much smaller and don't dissolve so fast and are no where near as vile. Try the Spiroconalactone (did I spell that correctly?)

Also, they seem to feel better on the stomach after initially swallowing them. Hope this helps
