I take metformin, yasmin, and avandia. This week, I have been having some very mild cramps, but I am not going to start my placebo pills for the birth control until Sunday. Is it normal to have cramps before going on the placebos? If not, do you think that the metformin could be causing me to have early cramps? It is supposed to make you ovulate, right?

How long have you been taking met? Met can cause intestinal issues. Could it be intestinal cramps?

Also, sometimes I get mild cramps a few days before my period.

I have been on met for almost a year now. I had some other women on another message board tell me that they get cramps before they go on their placebos, too, so I guess it is just normal.
