Question about CLOMID/Alternative
Is there any herbal remedies for Clomid I am currently taking for Vitex and wanted to take an alternative for day 5-9 if possible. I was told to get on bcp pills to regulate my cycle but I am not going to. I will leave those bcp's alone. I am going for the Herbal approach is there any herbals that will do the same thing as CLOMID please help i would appreciate it

I have already purchased the book by Start on Herbal meds for women's health and DON QUIA is also on the way

Hi and Welcome to Soulcysters.

Quite a few cysters have tried soy protien isoflavones as an alternative to clomid.

you can also try licorice root to promote ovulation. use it like clomid. good luck.

started glucophage xr 12/18/02
taking 1500 mg as of 12/20/02
5/13/03 actos 15 mg & met 500 mg
5/17 increased met to 1000 mg
6/6 increased met to 1500 mg
6/12 increased actos to 30 mg
7/11 reduced actos to 15 mg due to swelling
reduced met to 1000 mg due to severe diarrhea

rx meds: met & actos

9/5/03 i ovulated for the 2nd time in my life. wow!!!
new cycle 9/21
nettle infusion, almond, brewer's yeast, flax seed, standardized black cohosh

can u tell me the dosage for Licorice and do i have to take from CD3 CD7 or CD5-CD9.THANKS

you can take it just like clomid cd 3-7 or cd 5-9. i've taken the nature's way brand(green bottle cap) 450mg x 3 caps and 450mg x 4 caps. however, it didn't work for me. it worked for others, though. good luck.
