I began clomid this month I am on 50 mg cd5-9, I am also on 1500 mg of Metformin. Since I am new to this I was wondering what days are better to DTD? is it supposed to be every other or every day? Sorry but I have to ask....are there any postions that are more optimum than others? Im really hoping this works I am trying to think positive but what are the chances of it working the first round? I am only asking because I have had numerous operations to remove cysts that have gotten just way too big and I have alot of scar tissue so I am worried that this might not work but I am trying to remain positive if any of you ladies can include me in your prayers I will greatly appreciate it. Thanks For ready cysters.

I am on my second round of Clomid this month, last month I O'd, but didn't get pregnant. We had sex every day last month, but this time I think we are going to try every other day..my doctor had originaly suggested every other day..but I wanted to do every just in case..so I guess this time we'll do it the way the dr suggested to begin with.

I am worried about scar tissue as well, and if I don't get pregnant this month, the dr is going to do the xray to see if my tubes are blocked and then we will go on from there.

Plenty of people have gotten pregnant on their first round, and plenty of people need multiple rounds. You just never know so stay positive!

Ok here is more TMI for positions:
First off, every other day is recommended so that DH's sperm has time to "replenish".
I've heard positions don't really matter but have also read that either missionary with the legs up if possible is the best, or else "doggy style" from behind (SORRY TMI, LOL!!) because these positions allow the penis to reach the cervix as much as possible, hence it gets in the deepest. I always lay with my legs up and a pillow under my hips for at least 15-20 minutes as well.
So those aren't "requirements" but they sure don't hurt!

**Round 3: Clomid 100mg, O'D and BFP!
**BFP on 6/23/07!! EDD 2/27/08**
**8/13/07 HB at doctor's office
**8/28/07 HB on home Doppler approximately 155 bpm!
**10/19/07 Ultrasound looked good, quad tests came back negative! (Baby's gender is a surprise!)

I start my first round of Clomid soon, after I'm done my my Provera (one more day) on cd 5-9 and I can't wait! I'm hoping for a miracle, so we'll see. It's funny though, and I just have to share this,...but when I came home from the Dr and gave my husband the new "schedule" he looked petrified, then asked me if we could only DTD every other day on those few days I would be o-ing. He looked like he was going to pass out. I assured him all was well, and I wasn't going to hold out on him. Men can have such one track minds,....lol

I am getting ready to start my first round of clomid as well. One thing you might find is that the clomid dries up your cervical mucus. My doctor told me to get a good lubricant that is sperm friendly, such as preseed and that will take care of that problem. I have also heard that drinking lots of water, eating baby carrots, or drinking green tea can increase CM.

For clomid on days 5-9 my Dr recommended dtd starting on days 11-21, every other day.

Hi there,
I am taking it days 5-9, too and my RE suggested having sex every day from cycle day 13 to cycle day 18 and then be sure to have it every other day til we're sure I ovulated. I didn't ovulate last month, though, so we're trying again.

Yes, I agree with the ladies on every other day.
My doctor said it depends on the man's sperm count. If his count is high, then you can do it every day, if it's normal or low, do it every other day to make sure the sperm is getting replenished.

I'm on my 2nd round of clomid. I was on 1 round of 50 mg last year and stopped for a while, and started again last month with 50mg but didnt get preg. Now my dr. is upping it to 150mg and hopefully this'll be our month. My dr. also said to BD every other day to give the husband's sperm time to replenish.

Thanks ladies for the tip * I will make sure we "bd" like craz every other day starting with cycle day 13. the big day is tomorrow first round of clomid begins. i am praying because I have read success on the first round but most say it takes a while to get in your system.

I am on my 1st round of clomid and DH and I do it every other day excpet week of O and week do it every day...Poor boy didn't know what hit him... more sex now that ever before.

As for postions try laying on your back or doggie... then have a pillow underneath your back to have your hips us... just what some say it may help.. baby dust to you
