Post question about diet and GTT

I thought I should post this question here also....

My labs indicate PCOS (FSH 10.6 & LH 51.3), but my endo did not do GTT studies. I have been low-carbing for 1 1/2 months, have been on bcp and am getting ready to start gluc. Before I start gluc, I want to have the gtt test. My question is, should I go back to eating "normal" or continue low-carb diet prior to the test? Does it make a difference? Thanks for any advice....

Personally, I would make sure to eat a moderate amount of carbs for a few days prior to testing (bread, pasta and some extra fruit). Nothing too heavy and by all means NO SUGAR.....The GTT will then show how your system works with SUGAR.

Good luck....I found the cola to be much easier to handle than the orange!
