Question Question about Dr. Scott in Edmonton Alberta

Hi,
I'm new to the board but not new to PCOS.
Currently residing in Legal Alberta (just 30 min North of Edmonton). Just a question for those Edmontonians who see Dr. Josef Scott. How long did it take you to get in to see him? I am seeing an OBGYN but I am unimpressed with him. I need to see a doctor who understands most of the complexities fo PCOS. I need a doctor who will not tell me that my depression is a figment of my imagination and will be proactive in my treatment of Pcos even though I am not TTC.
Thanks for listening to my long post. Any information would be helpful in regard to Dr. Scott. I just can't take another insensitive specialist.

I was a patient of Dr. Scott and I really liked him. Unfortunately he has passed away and I am VERY sad!

Smile re OB/GYN in Edmonton AB

Hi, I'm new to PCOS and I have a great OB/GYN. Her name is Dr Hajira Danial. She's in the Hys Center by the Royal Alexandria Hospital in Edmonton. I have found her to be a whirlwind of activity and she seems very dedicated to helping us conceive. She will even call me and consult over the phone and will fax lab requisitions to the lab for you. I'm still in the testing phase (labs, labs and more labs), but I really like her. Let me know if your family doctor will refer you and I can get you her number if you need it. I hope this helps! Good luck!

Hi there;

I have never heard of him. I am seeing a wonderful Fertiltiy Specialist at the Regional Fertility Clinic in Edmonton, just right beside the Royal Alexandra Hospital. I was definatly worth the wait to get into that clinic. All the docs there seem to know so much about PCOS and the nurses there are unbelievable and so wonderful and supportive. My Dr is Dr. Cumming - but they are all fabulous!
