Question question about early miscarriage.(tmi on this one)

So The docs are pretty sure I am having a miscarriage right now but here is my question.

When you had your early miscarriage was it just really heavy bleeding with large (like golfball sized) clots? He checked my cervix and said it was closed but I am wondering if there will be more i am gonna go threw during this?

Hi there,

It depends on how early the miscarriage was...I did have chemical pregnancy that ended at 5 weeks...it wasn't more than a normal heavy period. Some small clots...I'd be interested if anyone had golfball sizes!))

I just had a m/c on Saturday that we knew was going to happen "sometime". I was 6 weeks pg, but my betas read more like 1-2 weeks, so it's hard to say how far along I actually was as we never made it to the ultrasound.

I was told that I was going to have a "bleed". I was not expecting what I got on Saturday. I had pretty severe cramps that forced me on the couch all day. Nausea and dizziness if I stood up. I think a lot of that was a form of shock from the pain. At about 8pm, after bleeding and passing clots all day, I ended up with a clot that was just about the size of a golf ball. I didn't feel it come out, but by that point, my dh had forced me to take a Motrin for the pain. I continued to pass clots for three days that ranged anywhere upward to a pea or slightly larger every time I urinated.

When I m/c last week, I passed clots larger than golf balls. They began smaller and I passed the gest sac, and the last clot I passed had to be about the size of an orange. I was very crampy the next 2 days....heating pad was necessary....and I bled for a week.

I had heavy gushing bleeding, sometimes I couldn't stand out without it running down my legs even with a pad on, and I had some clots the size of my palm I'm guessing.

I think clots of some sort are normal, depending on how far along I would imagen. When I had mine almost 2 yrs ago now I did not even know I was having one or that I was even pregnant because I had other health issues going on, the hormones showed up in blood work so I just thought I was having a bad period like I always do. Sorry for all your losses.

this is a lot of TMI
sorry to be so graphic

I wasnt very far along, no one is actually exactly sure, its all guesses.
all they could tell me was "very early" and I didnt even know I was pregnant

anyway...

I had MAJOR clots.
I have had lots of clots from periods in the past so I didnt really think twice about it.
Then I started having what I call contractions, bc obviously I have never had a child I'm not familiar, but the cramps would get really severe then let up then a few minutes later worse and come and go like that.
The more cramps the more clots.
It was all really red liver looking clots.
I knew something was wrong and I told my husband I think I am having a miscarriage.
We both were still unsure bc we had been together 9 years and never been pregnant.
I just dealt with the cramping and thought it was a bad period.
I even remarked to my mom "when is this going to stop, I think there is a problem"
I had to miss work a couple days bc I was so in pain and just physically drained.
but still I did nothing, just thought it was my worst AF ever

the day I knew it I had barely bled any I went to the bathroom just to pee
and I felt something fall out. I dont know how else to explain it.
this is the scariest thing I ever felt in my life, it didnt hurt at all, but I immediately started shaking bc I KNEW.
there was no blood, just this tampon sized piece of tissue with blood colored goo inside.
I fished it out of the toilet and called my mom to take me to the hospital.

the hospital urine test was -
and they told me they thought it was an old tampon
I'm all like...no way I'm 100% sure it isnt
then they did some tests and said it wasnt a tampon and it could be uterine lining
they told me they highly doubted it was a miscarriage b/c neg urine test
follow up w/ the dr
so I left there actually feeling relieved

I got to the dr the next day and he said, "did you know you were pregnant"
I was devastated. Way to break the news doc.
he said the bloodwork was + and what fell out was "products of conception"

I bled and cramped heavily for the 17 days before "products of conception" came out
after that came out the bleeding stopped and all it was was pink mucus for a couple days

I was 7 weeks when I had my m/c in April, the day before I was due to have my 1st scan i started bleeding and it was heavy but very little in the way of clots. I still went to my appointment and on the scan all that showed was lining coming away. It took about a week for my numbers to drop right off.
