Question Question about Gluclose levels

I have been having trouble with what seems like low levels. My monitor says that they are at about 90 but I feel like they are alot lower. I went for a GTT yesterday. My levels after one hour was 204 and after two hours was 184. My fasting number in always 95.

Today I ate wheat spag. with a salad and one piece of wheat bread. One hour after eating my level was 107. Two hours after it was 96. Does that seem low or good? Some times I think I am hypoglycemic (because of the way I feel) but my GTT says different. Does this make any sense to any of you? If so please explain it to me! Thanks!

You can FEEL low without actually being low. If you are at 200 and drop to 100 in the span of an hour you are going to feel hypoglycemic -- sweaty, shaky, dizzy...the whole gamut. Even though anything over 70 is okay, you feel that way because of the dramatic drop in blood glucose.

The best way to avoid this feeling is to get those glucose numbers in control. Low is anything below 70, too high is over 140 at the two hour poing or over 180 at the one hour point. Those numbers may vary a little bit depending on your doctor, but those are some general numbers.
