Thread: question about high dose of met

hiya,

i'm now on a dose of 2250mg per day and i am wondering if this has the possibility of making me ovulate early. i have been doing my opk's and i normally ovulate around day 24, but this time there is nothing. i did an opk the other day and saw a faint line, and then nothing... so i think i saw the tail end of ovulation - which would make it early.

also, are there drawbacks and more serious side effects to being on a higher dose?

I'm on the same dosage as you. IR, but not PCOS. When I first started met in March, I went from a 28 day cycle to a 21 day cycle. I used to ovulate on day 14, now I ovulate on day 12. I've now settled down more or less to a 26 or 27 day cycle. Its strange because its been 28 days forever.
