Default A Question About Laser Hair Removal...

I am very, very, very interested in getting LHR. A friend of mine whose mother-in-law does it said that before treatments you shave the area that you want to have lasered. Can anyone confirm this for me? I really want to get LHR but I dont know what I would do if I had to let the hair on my face grow out and me look like a hairy mountain man! But I really want to do this...I would give anything to feel like a normal woman....

Yes, unfortunatley, it is true.
You must shave the spots you want done so the laser can find the hair follicle and destroy the root.
Depending on what type of system they use. you will have to do different things for the procedures. Remember that your hair grows in cycles, so one treatment will not do the job. you must go back for follow up treatments. It's costly and the trueth is, it will hurt.

I had very heavy facial hair, almost a beard and had LHR treatment for about a year.
For me it was a daily, heart breaking, task to shave, then apply bleaching cream to make my skin lighter. so the laser would respond to the dark hair. But in the end I was a miricle for me. For seven years I had no regrowth. Unfortunatly right now my pcos has flared up and I am beginnning to get some of it back. But you can bet I am going to go threw the pain and cost to get it done again. It's worth it.
