It really depends. Some people have changes right away, others it takes a while. It also depends on being on the right dose. I've been on it for about 8 months I think. Changes have been very gradual for me, but that's ok as long as they are still happening.

The first time i started Met i got pregnant by the end of that month. I did not get to find out if it helps with weight loss. This is the second time i will be on it to get pregnant and im hoping to find out if i can lose some weight before i do.

2 things, so you mean to tell me that some women can get pregnant with just the Metformin alone? Is this what my doctor was reffering to when he said Spontaneous ovulation? I was under the impression that any woman who has PCOS would need the Metformin as well as Clomid, well I guess that the case is different for everyone..

2. I find that with this medication Im never hungry, I have to force myself to eat and then I feel sick to my stomach... again, I guess every woman is different.

Metformin actually promotes ovulation. so you may be able to get pregnant with metformin alone.
That's weird though that you are never hungry!! Is anyone else always hungry or am i just weirdo??

Met along doesn't help all women ovulate though. I am still waiting for that to happen. I have had AF since October, but have been told by others it could take up to six months.

Also, I am not always hungry, but do find that I am hungrier at different times than I used to be. I used to be able to go until lunch before wanting to eat, but now I have to have breakfast.

But we are all different.

I've been on Met since Jan. and I've lost 16 pounds. It makes me sick when I take it, I can't keep alot of my food on my stomach. I don't know if the weight loss came from the Met or the throwing up. I don't stay real hungry on the Met, but I do have to eat around lunch or my stomach is growling really bad. It is going to work different on people, I know some women that have taken it and got pregnant on it alone, and others had to do a Met/Clomid combination. Good Luck!
